Our MLS-Only Brokerage
The concept of "Thompson-style" (MLS-only) real estate brokerages originated from a landmark antitrust court case, Thompson v. Metropolitan Multi-List, Inc., decided in 1991 by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. This ruling paved the way for the so-called "Thompson-style" real estate brokerages, where brokers can access MLS services without needing to join the Realtor Association. The 11th circuit covers only Florida, Georgia, and Alabama, and those remain the only states where Thompson-style brokerages are allowed.
Yes, you can have the MLS without joining your local board, NAR or FAR.
